The reason for the review rating is due to a few issues we had with Miller Metcalf through the sale process. Firstly, initially only one viewing session was planned and we had to request an additional one in order to make sure other people who could not attend the first one would be able to view the property rather than having to wait and see what transpired from the first one. Also, for both viewings there were less attendees than were promised and for both viewings the Miller Metcalf representative conducting the viewings was 15 minutes late on both occasions which meant that she had no time to discuss anything about the house to establish information to answer buyers questions it also meant we were left to deal with potential buyers knocking on the door and having to make them wait which is less than a good impression. We were also promised that only viewers that were in a position to buy/genuine/mortgage in principle would be put forwards, this was not the case especially on the day of the second viewing receiving a call to say this would not be the case and would it be acceptable. Another issue which arose near completion was the fact that the EPC assessment had been forgotten which had to be hastily arranged which could have stalled the sale. Generally, did not feel we had an overall satisfactory service along with the points already noted there were relatively long periods with no feedback, having to call ourselves to find out progress and later in the process there seemed to be more support for the buyers rather than ourselves particularly on the day we left being told around 11.30am we should move out as the house was technically not ours when not even checking if the removals had competed or not.

Hi Lynne, we are very sorry to read that you were not completely satisfied with the service received through Miller Metcalfe. We apologise that the viewing representative was late arriving at your property, we do all we can to try and avoid this happening but unfortunately, sometimes this is unavoidable due to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic. We will always give every client a fair chance to view and we do qualify and confirm their buying position prior to viewing. Some clients do have properties that they need to sell in order to proceed, we will always give our vendors the option to take the viewing or not. The Energy performance certificate was provided by a third party and will be investigated further. I can see throughout your sales progress you were updated weekly by your point of contact. Your solicitor was also on hand should you have needed any further updates throughout the process. On the day of completion solicitors advise of completion taking place and authorising that the keys can be released, which I believe was the case and keys were arranged with the buyer to collect at a time convenient for you all to allow everyone to move the same day. I understand completion days can be somewhat stressful and apologise if you felt rushed as this was not the intention.
